I received a 383 stroker motor this past weekend. Wanted to see what you guys thought the origin and specs of the block and heads were.
The block has the following numbers:

On the rear:
40 GM
3970010
B 27 B (the "B"s might be 8's possibly)

The block is a 4-bolt.

On the front of the motor:

V0302TDJ
287170411 <--- This number was very hard to read, it appears to not be stamped very deep.

The heads have the following numbers:

3998993
174
GM10
88
