does anyone know if the hood louvers off a 86' z28 will fit a 82' z? They look like they would but i don't think they came factory that year and i don't want to buy them if they won't fit.

if the hood on the 82 is original the louvers off a 86 will not fit but the hoods are interchangable

Yes your hood will fit the 86 Z28. If you want the look of the 86 Z28 louvers you need a 85- 90 Z28 or Iroc hood. The 82-84 Z28 hoods are different only because of style but not fit. 82-92 camaro hoods if it is standard, Z28, Iroc all fit the same just look different. You can interchange the hoods between models.
