Ok guys I know it's not a Camaro but it is a Chevy. I hope you guys can help. I just got a 2001 Monte SS and the previous owner put on after market rims and tires but in doing so the low tire sensor was disconnected and it's very annoying to hear the warning bell and see the warning light on all the time. Anyone know how to reconnect the sensor? It's driving me nuts. Thanks in advance!

One of two choices:
1. See PO and get the OE wheels and either install the OE wheels or transfer the TPM sensor to the new wheel(s). TPM = Tire Pressure Monitor.
2. Get new TPM's from the dealer and have them program them into the car BCM/PCM.

Each wheel has a sensor inside to monitor tire pressure. Pressure exerts a force upon a diaphram to potentiomenter to set an ohmic value. Tire spins, closes power switch, for a millisecond and transmits a signal to the control module. The control module has been preset by the operator after tires were pressurized to operator's satisfaction. Every 30 seconds or so, sensor turns on again and transmits another millisecond pulse to cont mod. Conditions okay, no alarm.

If one tire exceeds/loses 20% pressure, sensor no workie, alarm happens.
