I'd use a stock setup.

If you aren't so concerned with stock you should consider going with an Aluminium radiator for increased cooling (if you are making more HP you WILL need more cooling).

For Max cooling, check out Stewart Components Water pump and the Robert Shaw Thermostats they carry:

Ron Davis radiator:

Which comes with a set of dual Spal twin electric fans:

Warning this setup isn't cheap but if you are concerned with cooling it will be hard to beat. For an alternative aluminum radiator a Griffin, Alumitech, or US Radiator are cheaper.

Try to go with the dual Spal Fans if you can they make a huge difference.

Personally I went with a Griffin radiator and flex-a-lite dual fan setup. The car runs cool even in Los Angeles hot weather. Get away from running a fan on the water pump.

I went with the Be Cool set up with dual fans. I like the clean look of electric fans and it has worked great, the highest the temp has gotten is 196 and that was on a 105 degree day.

Thank you. There are so questions when your doing your first project. I have an increased respect for the people who own these cars. You've spent alot of blood, swet and tears.

I got my radiator with dual 11" fans from Raceware it also came with a Dakota Digital controller that keeps the fans running for a minute after the car is turned off.

If you are considering an aluminum radiator check out the one from entropy on ebay. Comes with dual fans and can be purchased with or without built in tranny cooler. Will work for SB or BB apps. If you have a SB, as I have. You will need the upper hose from a 68 SB w/ac. The lower hose is the same. Mounts with wellnuts through the holes on the drivers side. I purchased one and am in the process of installation. My cost with wiring harness shipped, just over $720. Can't be much more to Kansas. Can't believe more TC members haven't checked them out. Also fast delivery when paid by cc, (2 days for me).

Check out a mattsons radiator. we have a cross flow polished dullfans 2-pass that is a wider core and fits in the same stock location. There is a few pictures on the web site if you want to check it outhttp:// www.mattsonsradiator.com/gallery/pg4/69camero.JPG
