Got a new camaro the other day and boy is this one going to be fun.Pretty ruff shape but i beleave no matter how bad you can put life into one of these great cars.It was buy it or let it be crushed and i have alot of spare time.So the question is the floor pans are bad, real bad in my book.Dont know why seats havent fallen through yet. When i replace the floors is there any care to be taken to make sure car doesnt twist. It will get full floor pans and panels under rear seat also. Are there any measusments to check to see if car is still straight.Car still has solid iner and outer rockers wich should help.Panels will be replaced one at a time too.Any advice in this area is appreciated-does and donts. Thanks for any help...Luke

First check the door gaps, make sure they are even all around, then jack up car under the front leaf spring perch and see if door gaps change and open and shut the doors to see if they latch harder or easier. do the same by jacking up car under the rear of the front fender area. If doors work better with car jacked up then it wouldn't hurt to put some pressure under these spots (not entirely lifting tires off the ground) while cutting out and replacing the pans. Always check door gaps and function during entire process. Wouldn't hurt to have motor and tranny removed to relieve sagging stress. Good luck!
