I'm having a rough time getting the rear view mirror and header molding to go back together. I really don't want to get rough w/it unless I have to. I need to confirm order of assembly... Install chrome mirror bracket, then driver side header molding, then pass side header molding, then slip on black boot??... ATTN; Does corner of header molding slip over the chrome mirror bracket under the black boot??... My header molding is very tight, there appearse to be a provisiion for the corners of the molding to rest on the mirror bracket?.. I don't want to put too pressure on it... Thanks..

This is why I put the headliner in before I put the glass in.I used a rubber mallet to put it on a previous Camaro but broke the windshield just be carefull............

We are talking about a convertible here right? If so I will look at mine and get back to you. Its never been apart and should tell us what we need to know.

Driver side header molding, then pass side header molding, then mirror bracket and boot.

Worked for me.

Good Luck and be careful if you need to use force.

So Thomas, you got your mirror bracket over the molding.. hmmm.. I have it all together, but it doesn't look right.. man, we all know the more times you pull it apart and re-install, the better the chances of damage... This is just another example of why mock up is so important regardless of how trivial the system in question seems.... I'm still thinkin' on it... Thanks you guys...
