I found a good deal on a 1983 Z28 rear end, has everything including disk brakes. Will this fit a 1967 RS? I know it's a long shot with the different years, but it's worth asking.

Also, he's also selling a 5 speed transmission from 1983. I would rather have a 5 speed then a 3 speed in the car... but what needs to be done, just cut the drive shaft?

One last question... If I put a 350 4bbl Crate into an original 327 bbl car, will the rear end hold up to the extra power?

Thanks for any help! :)

Coil vs. leaf spring mounts for one.

As allready stated the '83 rear is coil spring and the "67 is leaf spring suspension. The '67 rear is stronger wether a 12 or 10 bolt. Disc brakes can be added to your 67's rear also. An '83 5 speed is also very weak. A Tremec TKO is the only way to go if a 5 speed is wanted. Who say's that the 350 is going to have more power than a 327 ?
