I found this part in my pile and miraculously I found the same part listed in my AIM. However I cant tell where it goes from the picture. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction or post a REAL picture of where it goes? TIA

It looks like a support brasket for the heater box.

That bracket is riveted to the bottom of the defroster duct assembly. The 2 holes rivet to the plastic defroster duct and the large single hole mounts to the heater box. Most often you see the bottom of the defroster ducts broke off and missing this bracket

Here is a picture of it on the defroster assembly.

Tim it's kinda tight up under the dash but if you look at your AIM again you will see "View A" below the detailed dwg of your bracket. Reference the A on the other drawing (covered up by bracket in pic) with the arrow showing you the basic vicinity.

I'm not sure you would be able to see this area if the defroster ducts and heater assembly is in place, I couldn't on my assembled car.

Yes, I wish I had asked this Q before I assembled my dash now. My center console is not bolted down yet so I might be able to squeeze in there.

Just a word of advice, it ain't going to be an easy task!.....I remember, very clearly, installing this piece and I NEVER want to do it again!:noway::mad:.....I mean, don't get me wrong, I got it up in there but I ended up cracking it up a little!....Good Luck Man!:thumbsup::beers:
