Will the OEM Hurst T56 shifter work with the stock console in a 69 Camaro?

On which model of T56, what bellhousing, what engine, and where is the engine positioned?

For a typical LSx/T56 swap with the engine in original location (S&P or ATS plates), the shifter is moved back approx 4 inches relative to the stock location. You either have to move the console back, or run the McLeod offset shifter.
