Hey Guys,
I think I have Metro door weatherstrips. The fit is less than desirable at the very front where the big part meets the glass. Does anybody have any pics of this area. The weatherstrip looks nothing like the originals that were on my car before.
The new ones (Metro) are really bulky looking and hardly fit under the door panel.
Thanks in advance!

1969 Camaro. The fat part at the front of the door where the weatherstrip touches the glass and just down from the glass about 4 inches or so.

I have this same problem with Metro Weatherstrip on a '69.

I have Deluxe door panels, and when you put the door panel on, the weatherstrip "pinches" the window in the front. I have seen that some have solved this with spray silicone, but mine is way too tight and won't work in my case.

Also, at the back, the weatherstrip is too thick to let the door panel rest against the door frame, so you see a gap between the door and panel with the door open. It just doesn't look right.

Any pics of an original door would help. I assume others have trimed the weatherstrip?

Any experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks!
