does anybody know if the 94 z28 came with r134a or r12 stock

Yep.
Not sure? Look at the Fill fitting.
If they are threaded similar to the valve stem for the tires, its R12.
If its a quick connect fitting similar to an air tool its R134a. R134a fittings won't have exterior threads.
