I've been trying to find a nice pic of a glass window top on a Camaro and finally spotted one in an auction. Now from what I have read from people, there is a seam on the glass which makes it difficult to see?

I'm just mixed up on what one to put on my car. Many rag owners are telling me if you have the option, put the glass in. Doesn't look too bad other than those flaps on the top of the window and what appears to be a wrinkle?

My vinyl cracked and was foggy so this is one of the first things that's going to be redone for April.

I'll go with plastic on mine. The only time the top will be up will be while it's sitting in the garage. :D

If I'm not mistaken the glass rear windw area is a bit smaller aswell. I think if the plastic window is well taken care of it will last a pretty good while. I'm in the same boat as you I like the glass but will go with the plastic. If you really think the top will be down mosty often go with the glass.

I was going to get a glass window years ago. The convertible top guy talked me out of it. He said the plastic becomes dull & hazy & increases your blind spots while the top is up. The field of vision isn’t as large with a glass window as best I recall.

We have a glass window in our 2001 Corvette Vert and have had to replace the entire top 2 time in less then 8 years. The weight of the glass causes the seem to fail over time.

Glass, and I love it. Won't fade or fog. Looks richer, more contemporary. Drawbacks: heavier, you must unzip it before folding. I can't tell much difference in size, but there is one. Get a GOOD installer. You'll get alot of positive comments with a Haartz cloth top and glass rear.

When you mean unzip does the glass have to come out when folding? Also, do you have any pics of the car to see the glass?

the larger glass with the seam(hinge)in the center will fold on it's own.

with the smaller glass without a seam it is reccomended to unzip before folding...you do not have to remove the glass.....

plastic is the best in my opinion.
