My car has hurst 4 speed shifter mated to the original matching numbers Muncie M21 tranny. After my Muncie was rebuilt I was told the Hurst shifter was bad and would not allow smooth gear shifts thus requiring a new shifter.

I just wanted to know if the Hurst shifter can be rebuilt. The cost of a new unit with hardware is pretty expensive and if this can be reused I would rather go that route.

Hurst offers a service to rebuild their shifters. Just go to the website and there should be a link or number.
