I have a 67 RS/SS with factory air. I am looking for the A/C hose seal that attaches to the right fender. It is a metal backed rubber seal that attaches to the inner fender with 4 screws. The A/C hoses pass through it on their way to and from the condenser. Is anyone making this part? I looked at Rick's, NPD, Year One and Classic Ind - no luck.

Just to be clear. It is located just to the outside of the battery tray on the flat metal that is attached to the front of the inner front right fender. Does anyone know what I am talking about here or do I need to take a picture? I still have not found one.

Daral is this similar? This is on my 69 but they are NOT repoduced anywhere either. :( Only 3 screws on mine too. If yours is different style, snap a pic of it and post it here so we can have it for future reference for the 67 application.

Jim - Your's is similar but my 67 has places for two hoses; one going out to the condenser and the other coming back. Here is a pic.

It is a steel plate covered with rubber. The steel is rusty and gone in some places on the bottom.

Thanks Jim. I guess I will try to clean it up. Maybe I can cut out the rusted metal and replace it with some plastic and JB weld. If I work from the bottom it shouldn't be noticable. Fortunately the rubber is in good shape.

ragtop might be different due to cocktail shakers up inside the fender there... good question for CRG Mark or Kurt :)

Can you post a picture that shows this item and its location.
Make sure you show one far enough away, that its location is clear.

The 69's are an early late thing. Early cars have the grommet which is a left over from 68, later ones (like December 68 and on) don't have it. Probably was a pain to install the hoses.

Dale - It is located in the area circled. You can't see it in this pic but it would be under the yellow tape.

Daral,

You are talking about the double grommet on page 215 of Factory Manual and has 4 screws that attach to inner passenger inner fender. It is GM Part 3899737. As far as I know, you can not buy. Glad mine is in good shape.

OER is now reproducing those, and using the GM # 3899737.
I see Jegs offers them, and I know I have seen them someplace else, but cant think of where.
