I want to add braided steel tranny lines on my car. It has a 68 Camaro powerglide. I was told to get carb adapters to thread into the factory cooler line fittings, in stead of trying to put in 1/4" npt x 6an adapter, which may crack the case. I know I need an adapter with a inverted flare, but what is the thread size, 1/2"-20??

if you take out the inverted flair adapter i believe the case is tapped 1/8 npt.

Someone else mentioned that too, but they were unsure.
