im currently gathering the rest of the parts needed for my pg to 350 swap and have a question

the trans i bought did not come with a slip yoke - from what ive read i should be able to use the one from the pg, but would prefer to just buy a new one

in looking around im seeing different lengths - ie: 5.5,5.875,7...etc

can someone tell me what is the proper length?

Unless the one you have is bad it is fine to use with the TH350. The Glide and TH350 use the same yoke as well as the small output shaft manual transmissions. If you are looking for a new replacement see what the length of your current one is and go with something similar.

problem is the current one is install in the vehicle and wont be available for measurement till the day of te swap

also had another question - what about the dust cover

1) i just read 6 pages about swaps and everyone says it needs to be changed but no one stated what it should be changed to? (i have a 68 327 if that helps)

2) im reading conflicting info on flexplate compatibility - any help there

TH350 and PG use a different dust cover.You have to change it.

Todd, those covers are available at summit,jegs etc.. I did the swap also and was able to get a used plastic one from a local tranny shop, you may have to trim it where it interfaces with the starter. Nice upgrade to the THM350 better around town cruising.
