Can anyone confirm that the COPO 9561 L-72 427 engine had a windage tray installed in the oil pan. I am assuming it did but would like to be sure.
Also I assume they were all 5 quart pans not the Corvette 6 quart pan is that also correct?

The Camaro L72 engine used the same oiling as the L78 including the 4-quart pan with integral baffle.

If I'm not mistaken, the baffle is actually 2 plates about 1/2" apart with a large U-shaped opening. I'm sure that's what my CE coded L-72 has, and I always thought the pan was original.
