Here is a link to a couple pictures of the new motor.

It is a tall deck 427 that has been bored .100" over.
It has 6.80" rods and 12.8:1 compression SRP pistons.
Factory marine block and forged crank remain in the bottom end.
I am using an old Racer Brown roller cam that was ground in April of 1968. I spoke to Jimmy at Racer Brown at length before deciding to use the cam (old but never used!). I am very anxious to see how it runs.
Isky roller lifters with the EZ roll option, Brodix heads, and a Weiand Team-G intake.
I just had to share!

Thanks for the replis guys!
The desk top dyno says mine can make 712hp at 7,500rpm (yeah right).
My short block came home in the back of the family mini-van!
I am bolting up the flywheel/clutch/bellhousing later today or tomorrow and putting her in the engine bay of the Camaro!

Smitty..i love your combo.Curious what arm you went with?4.250"?I thought about a stroker..but could not pass up on the 3963521 5140 crankshaft, new in the box for $400.Get a load of this.Scored the pro mod rods and ati external balancer and sfi flexplate for $700.heck,the balancer retails for $350 and the rods are $240 a piece.Mind you,the blower and the heads are setting me back 6k..All and all..should make for a healthy package and will need to be..if it was not for my love affair with old school roots blowers,I would definetily consider poking and stroking a 427T N/A.
Once again..nice job.I am impressed big time.:beers:

NICE! My tall deck 496 is being built now as well. All Crower with Ross 11:1--the 14:1 were too much power so they will stay in the box for now!
Question for tall deck users: what hood are you using? I have a factory repro cowl hood and am crossing my fingers?! Am I SOL or might it tuck under?
Thanks...cant wait to see some pic's Smits.:D

Here ya go.......nice engine. As a suggestion, buy the crank socket to turn it over and avoid stressing the front bolt.
