I hesitate to even post this one:

Perhaps this car has already been discussed? I haven't seen it, and I don't want to admit that it's for sale in my own state!!!

Why not just do this with a Vega, or Gremlin....sorry but I don't like it!

I've seen it in person before at a car show locally. All I thought then and still now is what a waste of a Camaro. I thought for sure it was done in the 70's. Guess I was wrong.

I keep wondering, why weld on a Vega wagon back end?? You might as well just bolt on a pickup topper and make it a camper, at least it would be useful!

I remember seeing something like that at World of Wheels in the 70's. The ad says to call "Barry" as in George Barris ??
I'm sure it would get a lot of attention, but it might not all be positive......:noway:

TERRY.......where the heck have YOU been ??? Must have a new girlfriend you're spending all your time with......:D You just missed a nice 67 SS on eBay........

Mitch, I'm around, just hibernating over winter...no girlfriend (only imaginary ones). Damn, I missed a good SS recently? I'm still camaroless too (only imaginary camaros too), still looking for one in my budget.
Are you still working on a Camaro project??

I think if it was all yellow it would look pretty good! I kind of like it-you guys gotta learn to think outside the box........

I dont think Herman Munster would even be seen in that:noway:

Peter, hmm what's the box we should think outside of, the original body style of the first gen camaro? Think of it this way, what you think of your '69 Z if someone had attached the rear of your '67 Buick Special onto it! It seems that when you go welding on 1/2 of the body of a different kind of car, you've kind of destroyed what the car was. If it wasn't a camaro I could care less, think of all the Gremlins, Hornets, Pintos, Vegas in junk yards (if they haven't been crushed yet)! I say hack them up and re-create new cars out of them...but the beloved '67 Camaro...

PS Shane, I don't think Herman Munster would have FIT in that thing!

Hey Terry, sorry it took so long to see this. I was in the Keys for 8 days and got back yesterday...just in time for the snow today.....:(.
Imaginary girlfriends are less expensive and time consuming......:D.
The 67 is still hibernating in the shed but I had the 88 painted at Century College over winter. It's a decent driver paint job and looks really good from a few feet away. I still need to replace the entire instrument panel and I have a complete Grey interior to put in. It should look pretty good when all that is done as long as no one looks at the ceiling. I don't have a new headliner for it and don't know when I will get one. Here's a pic of it when I brought it home.

that 88 does look nice, I didn't know you could get a car painted at Century College, is it expensive? I have another vehicle that needs paint-- T.M. PS Yeah welcome back to the snow.

One of the guys on MN Fbody is in the class and another student needed a project on short notice so I got it in. Yes, it seems expensive and I was rather shocked at the cost too, but it was still way less expensive than a body shop.
The original estimate was for 1600-1700 for "materials" only but the paint I chose added a few hundred to the cost and it came to $1920. The paint is 2008 Corvette Jetstream Blue and has a LOT of pearl in it so the cost went up.

I just saw this car today at a Culvers in Savage.

It looks so altered that it was the instrument panel and interior that made me realize it's a Camaro. Plus...I was having a "say it aint so" moment! lol. All I could say was ... wow ... as I shook my head. That thing is straight out of Mad Max -- I thought it was a recreation of that Pinto at first.

For what it's worth...the build quality seemed really high, especially for a car that I'm assuming has been custom for a LONG time.

Still, hard to see that done to a Camaro. :(
