Hi all

I need some beginner instrution, thought, comments, recommendations for a future upgrade involving upper/lower control arms and coil-over system for my 69. I plan on doing this to reduce weight. What parts should I budget for replacement?

thanks all:confused:

Hey Bruce ,you may be better asking this in the suspension forum, and get on David Pozzi's site ,very good info I used ,I got the Hotchkis TVS kit and Speed Tech control arms ,I opted for Bilstein shocks over the QA-1 ,cost was one ,and wanted to stay with what was recommended ,by his site and Hotchkis ....Good luck and Happy Motoring

We do a ton of this stuff, both sales and installation of various suspension products. I would suggest a good replacment coil spring and shock over any coil over conversion. The coil over conversions only truley offer 1 1/2" drop, and do not have much stored energy or compression at that ride height. A good set of Hotchkis Spring, Sway bar, Shocks, and some Speedtech upper and lower arms is the best bang for the buck you can get.

if you have your heart set on the coil over conversion, we sell QA1 and Chris Alston Coil Over set ups.

I am going with the ATS spindle which offers a little weight reduction. I plan on using spring adjusters and a 500 lb spring. This way I get to adjust tesion and ride height.
I also plan on using the scandc lightweight arms agian they offer some Flexability and weight reduction.
The Aluminum calipers also shave some weight

Just my .02 on ideas.
