This pass was made yesterday at a Pinks All Out in San Antonio Texas. (3-8-08) I belive that there was some exhibition runs going on between the Pinks breaks or somthing.....dunno.

Anyway, here is a video of a good freind of mine. It's a 67 Chevelle doorslammer with a 630 inch big block, Powerglide, stock style suspention....notice I said stock style, but none of it's stock parts....it has the original issued 12 bolt rear end and a 10-1/2" tire. This is one mean car. The fastest the car has ever gone before was 8.60 (1/4 mile) and Saturdays first run was an 8.11 at 168 mph. Second run he beat a Mustang, then the third run another mustang beat him by 2 tenths. That run was 8.24 and the stangs run was 8.04. Then that was the end of the day for him.

Remember this is a full body Chevelle. Yeah...glass hood, glass front and rear bumpers, plexiglass windows all around, full tube frame integrated into the factory frame. Other than that, it pretty much all metal. Not real sure on the weight of the car, but I'd be willing to bet it's around 3400.

That guy came off the line very good. Thus, a good 1/4 time.

Damn.......you guys are drag racing and I'm freezing my a$$ off and riding a snowmobile.......:(

Last year I sold a 1969 chevelle all steel at 3410 lbs. on a 33x10.5 tire. We went 7.90s at 180 mph. Trying to stop even with a parachute was a real experience especially at orlando the world finals.
