Is anyone making a useable repo "A" pillar moulding for a '69 these days? The ones from OER are simply crap.

I continue to use my originals but they are well weathered.

Nice ones come up on eBay from time to time. Usually go for about the price of repops.
If yours are weathered, and not cracked, maybe a vinyl repaint will bring them back to life.

In many cases the old ones can be saved or sent to justdashes for a reskin. The repops I've seen are all crap.

I have been looking on ebay for a set for a while now. I had my eye on this set but look what they sold for. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280204605227&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=018

I don't need them that bad. I have my originals but they are badly cracked.

What do you mean by "well weathered"?....Cracking?, Separating?, Fading?.....They can be re-dyed if they are just faded.....In most cases, as long as they don't look like they've been run through a shredder, they can be reconditioned....I'll be redoing and redying mine this spring/summer as they don't look that bad to begin with.....I just can't see paying 67 bones for a pair of misfit repros!

I know this doesn't count, but 5-6 years ago, I paid $20 for a pristine set. However, I'd rather pay $200 for an original set than pay $80-90 for the crappy repops. Plus, I'll bet it costs 2 bills to get originals reskinned by Just Dashes.

The screw holes are over sized ( I have to use a washer) and there is a curve in both left and right pieces running the length of the piece. When they are in place they don't conform to the straight "A" pillar and don't fit tight about have way between the headliner and the dash.

They still fit better than the OER's I got so they are still on the car but don't look so good.
