View Full Version : Heater core Seal? osin68 Mar 10th, 08, 10:42 AM My heater core just arrived from Ricks:hurray: I also ordered the seal kit but there is no seal for the heater box to fire wall:confused: the out side or in side part:confused::confused: BigBlock1969RS Mar 10th, 08, 02:57 PM I used the left over stuff from the seal kit and 3M super weather stripped it to the box. Worked pretty good for me. Dale8346 Mar 11th, 08, 07:56 PM Isn't that amazing. The company Soff Seal makes these seals. I told them that I have a 67 camaro with factory Air and their gasket kit does not work and like you said it does not include the big gasket against the firewall. I made a suggestion that they sell an UNCUT sheet that we pay twice as much for and can cut our own. THEY THOUGHT THAT WAS A DUMB IDEA AND SAID WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. What happened to the days of satisfying the customer??? You would think companies like Rick's and Classic Industries would already be demanding that from their suppliers. What is up with that also??? osin68 Mar 12th, 08, 07:45 AM I here what you are saying about customer service  What I did was run a beed of silicone and let it it dry than installed the heater box. Hope it works:beers: Dale8346 Mar 16th, 08, 07:16 PM NEVER USE SILICONE ON A CAR. i WOULD HAVE USED 3M STRIP CAULK OR MADE A GASKET, but 2 late now. Let us know how it went. |
