Hey guys what is the the best header for this car for perforance and looks? I have hookers comps now but i have heard that they hang to low where there are outer header that perforame just as good that dont hang low.

Keep them and just re-weld the collector ring at a muffler shop or something.

Dill..I have the same headers on my 68 bbc.road clearance has never been an issue for me.The tuck up tight and fit well.

I'll second that , It's the super comp's that hang too low.

I run the super comps on my bbc. To say hang low is being nice. I ran over a penny in the road and knocked Ab's hat off.

I'll third that also. My comps. tuck right up there.

I have Hooker comps on my 68 Big block car and in my opion they do hang to low. When I go over some humps in the road they will drag the collector.:angry:

I will remove them and go with something else when the car is restored. :yes:

Oh and by the way I couldnt agree more about the Super comps. I Paid 500.00 plus for a set about 6 or 7 years ago and only ran them for a few weeks. I couldnt go over a pebble in the road with out putting on a spark show. I had all the low riders around here hanging their heads with "spark envy" ;):D

I run Super Comps on mine, and once again, I'll go along with what's being said here. I'll hear mine scrape when the road gets just a little bit wavy sometimes, if I'm going around 55 MPH or so.
