Right now I have a 255/60-15 radial tire but want some dot slicks. Will a 27/10.5-15 be equal to a 255 tire in size? Wich to choose MT et streets or Hoosier Quick time pro?

Go with the B F Goodrich gForce drag radial 275-60-15 28.0 dia, 8.8 in wide so within a little bit of the 255-60-15 fit is fine with a 15x8 with 4.5 BS wheel gottem on now...you will be much happier...I have had ET streets ok and hoosier quick t's don't last waste of $$$...just MO..Discount Tire did me for mounted and Balanced for aprox. 140 a piece, they will meet or beat any price ...good luck and Happy Motoring

If you are looking at a drag radial, I have owned a dozen sets of BFG Drag Radials and switched to the Mickey ET Street radial as soon as they came out. The Mickey is far superior (no offense OB:D) in hook and lasts 3-4 times longer.

I have little experience with the wrinkle wall tires but hear good things about the Mickeys and the QT Pros. Be sure NOT to get the plain old Quick Times (not Pros) as they are not intended to be a street slick.

I just went threw all this myself. I ended up going with mickey thompson et drag radial. 255/60, and yes it should be really close to a 27 10.5. Go to summits web page and they will tell you actual tire size. Here is what I came up with after all the research.
et streets, and hoosier quick times will give you the most traction, with about 1000-2000 miles of street driving(highly not recommended in rain). m/t drag radial will get you about 8-15000 street miles, you can drive them in the rain, and they will hook decent. If I was going to be doing anykind of street driving I would get the drag radial. Or you could buy an extra set of wheels and slicks for the track and put them on when you get there

Thanks for replies!
Not going to use them for streetdriving will use regular radials for that and mount the other set of tires on other rims and change at the track. Think et streets or qtp will hook better than dr. Are et streets and qtp´s equal or is one better? Life and hook.
