i have a 73 camaro Z28 Rally sport with a 383 stroker, factory MC21 4speed and a 10 bolt 373 that i changed to a 321 gear ratio rear end, stock 5 spoke wheels and radial T/A tires. as you can expect i don't get any traction on the 1/4 mile drags, how wide can i go without tubbing or chopping, i see alot of nice street/drag tires out there but not too many knowledgeable people selling them, if you know what i mean, it would be nice to find something that fits on my 5 spoke factory wheels that i could drive on the street, i don't drive it that much so i'm not worried about wearing them out on the street.

Buy a set of real slicks in the 8.50/14" or 15" range like of old and you should be fine!
And I will say that my old L-60/14 jobbers on my M-20, 3.31 posi- "slapper" car behind my 406 held her!!
They measure a modern 298/53-14 on a 9" rim. Big suckers to say the least.

Like I Said Before I Would Like To Use My Stock 73 Z28 5 Spoke Wheels, Is There A Street/strip Tire That Will Fit On My Stock Wheels, It Would Be Nice To Keep The Car Looking Original As Possible, That Has Been My Goal For A Long Time Now,

Why don't you go with a M/T ET Radial for your rim? Best tires I have found to hook up pretty well.. I have also run Nittos 555Rs and some BFG drag radials but the ET radials have worked the best for me...
235 or 255 or 275 even in a 60 series tire would work great and look awesome..
Good Luck..
James..

Did you even bother to read me or did your car come stock w/ "Dub's" on it??
Again..
"Buy a set of real slicks in the 8.50/14" or 15" range like of old and you should be fine!"
Your car DOES have something like a 15" x 7" wide or so STOCK rim on it, doesn't it??
Coker sells tires like this and I'm pretty sure Coker and others sell what was known as "Cheater-Slicks" back then too that were real slicks that were GROOVED just enough so that John Law couldn't hassle you for running treadless tires on the street!!
Real slicks here!! M&H type!!
