Iam replacing the quarters and tail panel on a 68 (90% qtr). The passenger side and tail went on great and matched up great except for about 5 inches of the gap between the trunk lid (top) which wasnt a big deal (just a small cut and reweld). The car must have been in a wreck on the drivers side since, when I took the 2 quarters and puddy off (bad repair job), the 12" or so brace in back of the door jamb/door striker area was all screwed up, twisted, cut, bent, deformed, etc.). Its sticking out at the bottom and pushing my new quarter out where the quarter is supposed to slide in between the rocker and the bottom of the brace. I tried hammering it back but that area is kinda weak since it has little structural support especially without the quarter attached. Does anyone sell this piece? I am not excited about taking it off and trying to reform it given all its angles and bends.

I haven't seen anyone selling those. I think you would have to find a used one.

That's a pretty simple piece. Mine was missing on my passenger side because of prior damage to the area, and I just made one out of scrap metal.
