I'd like to help and I'm sure others would as well but you'll have to give more information... We know you have a convertible, What year? Power top? I don't seem to see any on mine but I don't think I know what I'm looking for! I have a rubber molding that goes against the chrome at the top of the windshield. There are 2 metal stops, one next to each latch. Mine's a '69 with a power top.

He has a 69 with a power top. There are supposed to be rubber stops to keep the top from dropping too far into the well. I assume they attach to the well bottom (?).

Thanks Rick for the assistance http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

All the parts catalogs sell these rubber stoppers, all I can assume is that they are for power tops so they don't go down to far.
If no cars have these, why are they sold?

You got my couriosity up guy! I looked as best I could without taking my interior apart and couldn't find any rubber stops. I'm thinking they work with the latch that holds the top in the well on a manual top but thats a guess... I have many catalogs, give me a page and what one it's in and I'll take a look...

I saw them on my power top before I took it apart. I have put the frame back together, but I have not gotten around to getting new fabric installed or any of the other pieces.

I'm at work and can't look to verify, BUT... I believe the stops go on the frame and with the top in the down position they keep the frame sections seperated.

I will try to remember to go by the car and take a look tonight. They still might be on one of the old top frame pieces.
