My morris 3-point belts just showed up. Anybody have a trick for locating the shoulder strap mount behind the headliner?

A small needle will help you find where it is, and there are a ton of pictures on here giving you an idea of where to start if you look.

Is the red circle the shoulder belt mount location?

Are these shoulder mounts on 67's as well?

So I just looked at the shoulder belt. I see it mounts with 2 bolts, so are they the two the red circle is between?

Gean,
I've read that 67's are in a different location.

I've not heard anywhere that the 67s mounting location was different than the other years. I'm positive they should be the same as on 68s.

That picture where the red circle is, is a great shot of the mounting location.

Christopher, I really have no idea about the 67 other than in searching posts to do this several threads mentioned them being different. Here's one of them:

I just finished installing them in my 68. It's scary poking a hole through the headliner, but with the above picture and feeling for the holes it was pretty simple. It is the 2 holes either side of the red circle in pic above.

BTW, Steptoe gets photo credit for the above picture.

There are two shoulder belt locations I recently found. My 67 RS is more or less above the joint of the front/rear side glass. The Iraq project 68 was above the middle of the rear window same as where 68Dave's picture is. I looked at some 69's recently that had the mounts in both places as well. I don't know if the differences are LA or NOR differences.

Regardless the mounts will be in one of these two places. They are easy to find just feeling for them. The shoulder mounts have three holes in a line with the outer two holes being the mount holes.
