View Full Version : Best Interior Parts 98blackburb Mar 15th, 08, 07:33 PM Who carries the Best Interior Parts for Quality and Fit ??? PowerWindows Mar 15th, 08, 07:58 PM I'd be interested to know everybodies opinion also as I will be in the market for complete interior for my 797 code 67 this year. Fred Mertz Mar 15th, 08, 08:41 PM You will to know more than the vendor's name. You will need to know who their supplier/manufacturer is. I know that PUI's fitment has gone down hill in recent years. I don't know about the others, or if they were any good to begin with. jrjohnston Mar 16th, 08, 07:27 AM PUI supplies "most" of the aftermarket interior kits sold for first and second gen f-bodies,and what PUI does'nt supply come's from over sea's. PUI is hit and miss on F body stuff,I have installed their kit's on a couple of camaros and they fit good, then turn around and install another set and they were WAY off. So I just quit buying their stuff, and I have almost stopped installing them(customer supplied). BelAirBob Mar 16th, 08, 07:35 AM All of the vendors listed,as well as us, are limited by the actual makers of the interior products. We sell and personally use PUI products, and have had good luck with them. If the car had deluxe interior, specifically door panels, Al Knoch is the main supplier of these, since PUI does not offer them. I installed a set of these deluxe front door panels for a friend. The cosmetic quality of the panel was superb, but the fit was another story. They also just about doubled in price for a set of front 69 door panels! I'm sure there are other suppliers, but these are the two main ones used by the vendors listed, and by our store. None of the vendors make their own interiors. I'd focus on the best service and value between vendors, since for the most part, the products are going to be the same. 98blackburb Mar 16th, 08, 01:56 PM Thanks guys, I personally am done with Rick's but I am trying to be open minded and want the best so far it looks like NPD or Classic so far. thewebb1 Mar 16th, 08, 06:32 PM What about NOS Reproductions located here in Ontario Canada. Anybody use them? Dale8346 Mar 16th, 08, 06:56 PM What does NOS Reproductions mean? Aren't they opposite words ????? An Oxymoron?? But if you are saying they are really good repo's, can you please put the company name and phone here. I would like to know who they are??? Thanks! thewebb1 Mar 23rd, 08, 05:36 AM Lol. Don't know what it stands for. You can ask them directly. 1-800-667-6200. Located in Komoka, Ontario. Don,t know if they are any good or not. Anybody use them? jay'srs/ss Mar 23rd, 08, 12:53 PM I've bought a lot from Classic, I mean A LOT! They send me discount codes pretty often, and they ship to me fast cause they have a Cali wharehouse. I have ordered a few times from Rick's, twice before it was sold to Eckler's, and once last week. I like the hardware kits they sell, much better than tracking down every nut and bolt especially for the interior. I ordered from YearOne once, I think they offered a part I needed that no one else had at the time. Like most said, it's hit or miss. I have yet to install the repro kick panels I got from Ricks, so we'll see how they are. Dale8346 Mar 23rd, 08, 06:50 PM I was very surprised that NO ONE responded about this Canadian Company. I did a little homework and will do some more. If no one knows about them, maybe they have a better product. Their web page gives this statement below: "NOS Reproductions was founded in 1986, and is just west of London, Ontario. NOS President, Dale Pfile, an avid car hobbyist throughout his life, saw an opportunity to mesh his passion along with his career. With molded carpets being the basis upon which the company started, the product line has grown to include an extensive line of soft-trim items for vehicles from the 1940's to the 2000's. As Canada's leading distributor of after-market automotive floor coverings, NOS strives to provide service and quality at a fair price. The strength of NOS and our staff lies within our knowledge of both the products we carry and the cars we service. With products ranging from 1939 Chevy headliners, to 1973 Cuda door panels, to 1983 Mustang weather-stripping to 2003 Lexus accessory floor mats, we offer quality automotive soft-trim items to fit many applications, with new parts being added regularly. Hopefully we can help you with your restoration project, no matter how large or small!" Their Phone number is: 800-667-6200. Is their any supplier here in the U.S. that stocks these? I will call them next week and follow up. |
