Hello All,

I know this is a first gen site. I also know that it today's world a decent paint job for the entire car is about $5 grand.

Question 1) A buddy of mine has a hard on for 1968 Firebird's...The hood & deck lid have a lacquer/enamel paint fish eye peel look...How much would it run for to paint a hood & deck lid that are perfectly straight on this car????? The color would be navy blue.

I am also looking at two 1989 IROC-Z's. The red IROC has major issues with the clear coat on the hood that looks like someone poured bleach over 3/4 of it. The rear hatch lid has the same issue as does the area between the top of the windshield & T-Tops. The black one has the same problem on the hood & deck lid. I know GM had major issues with paint from 1985 -1990 with these cars. Particularly in 1988 & 1989.

Question 2) anyone know what it would run to re-paint a nice straight hood & deck lid for a 3rd gen??

Question 3) Same as question 2 only with the small area between the top of the front windshield & T-Tops added in?

P.S. Here is a photo of the dark red IROC--Note the issue on the hood & near the T-Top area http://shutter10.pictures.aol.com/data/pictures/23/00B/5D/3B/69/8A/D3qCiFV4q9rjQhDgg0fFOJAWUPuqHjc70300.jpg
