Just had my seats recovered and I am thrilled with how they turned out. For those NJ guys, if you need seat work done Mike Devrous-(732) 580-8968 is your man. He was referred to me by another NJ team member and the seats look great. But the quesiton is did the drvs side seat have a seat back stop? My pass does but the drvs sidedoesn't even have a hole for the stop.

It should, but I have seen them with one seat having them and the other not.Does it feel like you are leaning to one side? If so I'd put one in,if not I would not worry about it too much.

Are you talking about the rubber bumper on the bottom of the seat or the cable that keeps the seat from going too far forward when you release the seatback?
If it's the rubber bumper, then yes, there should be two on each seat bottom. If it's the cable, then no, only the passengers seat got this. (The drivers seat would hit the steering wheel when you released it, so it's not required.)

I am talking about the metal piece that screws into the bottom of the seat back that hits the rubber stopper. I only have one on the pass seat and no threaded hole on the drvs side. Seems strange.

I went through the same thing, I was missing both items below for my drivers side seat. You need the part on the right for both the driver and passenger seat. I have it now on my drivers side and it works much better, sits up straight instead of leaning like it did. The second picture is of the passenger side. You may want to check with the apolstery shop, they may have removed it to recover the seat and have it lying around. This appears to be what happened on my seats as well becasue the hole was covered over. I just cut a small hole in the cover and screwed the part on. If you feel around you can tell where it screws on. I had to end up buying a trashed set of seats to pull the parts I needed, nobody was repopping them. Good Luck, I hope this helped.

The screw in adjuster is on both side. The threaded hole is there, just covered over. I had to locate some too. Many of the repop stores have used parts. Just start emailing around.

Funny thing is that I took the seats a part and there was no hole for the drvs side piece to screw into. I guess I can hunt one down and tap a hole for it. It did seem odd that it did have the rubber stops on the seat bottom just no metal peice on the seta back to rest on it. Thanks guys!!!
