Hi Gang...I have a 95 3.4 with an unusual problem. Whenever I engage the cruise control, I get a check engine light. When I shut off the engine and restart, the light is no longer on. I wonder if anyone has any idea what this could be? My present code reader is an Actron OBD II reader, but it doesn't read the OBD I codes, so until I get a different one, I really don't know what this is all about. I also wonder if a simple code reader would even be able to read this or am I going to have to visit a mechanic for more exhastive readout. Or will this code even be stored. I would hate to give someone $75 to find out that the code doesn't even store. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...Bruce

something like that sounds like it could be a cat eff. code or transmission code. I ride in cruise control alot. i get that cat code crap if i've been riding for a while or used the car alot that day. Cruise control isn't going to cause a code, it's picking up something else. More than likely cat or electronic transmission problems ( which usually aren't problems, just computer discrepancy) not sure if they have autozone stores out there, but they read your check engine code for free. I bout a little cheap 19 dollar reader off ebay 2 years ago and it reads everything LOL
