Hmmm what should I do??? I have my 350 crate running pretty good. I'm pretty much ready for a big block conversion. Smaller brake booster, BB heater box/core, Moved the batt to trunk, just for more room. Pretty much done for what I want to do to the small block, and looks good. My birthday passed and I have around $500 to spend. I was looking at the alumrad radiator for $495. I will need a radiator for the BB. Or should I keep my radiator since it works fine with the SB and try to find a good 454 block to start playing with?:D
What to do!!!!!

I got my 454 (actually 468) block 1st and then all the goodies. Big blocks cost big bucks to build compared to a small block. I picked up an aluminum radiator for a BB with a 16"fan and shroud. It sure looks nice. Kept the motor cool during breakin but the cars still not on the road yet.
Make sure you change your frame mounts and matching motor mounts. If your running a manual trans your gonna need a crossmember and clutch linkage for a BB. I just went through it all. Whatever you do spend your birthday money on your car...it will make ya happy!
Happy B-day

You may continue to have a problem with finding an inexpensive block. They are spendy.
