I am looking to buy a 69 pace car and was wondering what questions I sould ask the owners and where can I find the VIN and other option codes that I have seen talked about here.

Pace cars are also not specifically covered here in detail; they will be separately discussed in more detail in a separate web site page to be forthcoming. The 1969 Z11 Pace car was a special package that consisted of a SS convertible with ZL2 cowl hoods, D80 spoilers, Z28-style rally stripes, 50A exterior color, and 720 interior. A Z10 "Pace coupe" regional promotion additionally allowed a vinyl top (or not), and one of the black interior colors could be selected in place of the orange houndstooth, but the Z10 included the other Z11 features.

Dover White Paint Code (50)
White Convertible Top Code (A)
Interior Trim Orange houndstooth (720)
A build date between 02D and 05A
SS Equipment
RS Equipment
Style Trim Group
Handpainted Hugger Orange RS stripes over the wheel openings
Hugger Orange stripes (Z/28 Style)
Special Ducted Hood
Rocker panels painted white instead of black
The rear panel remained white on 396 cars instead of black
