: Change color of shocks?

How many folks have changed the color of their shocks because the factory color just clashes with the rest of the suspension?

I don't want to stick bright white KYB's under the car when the rest of the suspension pieces are black and cast colored. I was thinking body color but depending on that color, it might look stupid. Black to match the frame? The steel blue color of the Hotchkis springs? Red like the Addco bar?
The front and rear inner wheel houses, core support and firewall will be body color.

What have others done, or am I being too anal about it?

Hwy, I think the original shocks on the Camaros were a grey color. I would have to look this up.I painted the shocks on the 67 black, only because that was the original color on the shocks.I toyed with the idea of using red, as you mentioned, but was talked out of it. Still think the red would break up all the black underneath. :D

I'm kind of leaning towards red too Gene. That might not look so bad inside the springs and it would match the sway bar. Now I have to decide what color to go with for the rears. Maybe leave them white..... dunno.
