I am just getting back to my LS1 brake conversion and I am ready to hook up the brake lines and I'm having a memory problum at the moment and can't remember which port on the master clyinder goes to the front disks? I am using the LS1 master/ boster with Ls1 disk in front and back. One other thing where can I find conversion fitting for metric to inch? Can I just get metric lines at napa and cut and flare inch fittings on the other end?

Ok, I just went thru this. The rear port on the master cyl is for the front brakes and vice versa. My family owns an auto parts store and out of the four stores I searched thru, I found one fitting that would convert from metric to standard. (keep in mind that they are both bubble fittings) But that dosent mean there isin't one made. So what I did was flare the metric line out of the master cyl to a standard 3/16" flare nut. It worked great. The metric line is exactly the same size as standard, so that isint a problem......one thing I will give you fore warning on is that the metric brake line is very thin. Give yourself some room for error or practice on another peice before you go with the one and only as the thin line will crack when you flare it.

Thanks Joe I think I will try to get metric lines and flare the other end for the double flare.

Joe Do you know where you got the brake lines or fittings that came out of the master clyinder? they are 12mm and the other is 11mm and I need the other end of those to go into the distibution/light switch block that is inch size.

I searched at the auto parts store for a while....4 stores total and found one of what I needed. If you can get the adapter fittings, you are good to go. Then you can make up your own custom brake lines. Thats what I did. I had to have one coming off of the front port that went to my proportioning valve, then to the rear brakes, then I had the rear port go to a line lock solenoid, then go to the front brakes. All my lines are custom made on my 69.
If all else failes and you can't find one, check out summit racing. I'm willing to bet they have somthing you could use.
Good luck man,
Joe

Found all the parts I needed a NAPA. I used the metric on one end and inch on the other of steel tubing and flared the buble and doubles that where needed. Came out realy clean looking and I didn't use any adaper fitting at all so the lines look good. Thanks for the help
