I still don't have my front spindles and I really need to set this rear axle. I was hoping to get the frontend put together to get a wheelbase measurement for the rear axle, but who knows when I'm going to get them. My rear axle and frame is out of the car and I need to install them, I'd really like to do it this weekend.

If someone can get me a good measurement off of maybe the front upper a-arm, or lower a-arm, or even the front of the front subframe it would be awesome.

I'm in a huge crunch on this car and I need to get as much done this weekend as I possibly can.

Bryan - I don't think anyone understands what you are asking for. Why do you need measurments to install your cars rearend? Once you have them what will you do with them? Everything in the rear is in a fixed location, the front spring eye mounts in a mounting bracket that bolts up to a pocket in the floor. The shackles hang from the uni-body frame rails and the rear spring eye bolts to the shackles. There are locator pins in the leaf spring where the spring perch (welded to the axle tube) fits onto the spring. There really is no adjustment here.

Is your car twisted or have damage that you are trying to repair so you can start assembling the car? Are you using a rear end from another car and modifying it to fit?

I am building everything in the back totally custom. The previous owner was setting it up as a race car, so it has a drop crossmember about where the front of the back seats are and it is hollow behind that. I have a set of Competirion Eng. SFCs with the spring pocket and some Comp. Eng rear frame rails so I can put everything back there together.

So I basically need a measurement of where the axle sits relative to the body so I can get everything welded up based on that measurement.

Please help me, I've got a free weekend to work on the car and I have no idea where to start on this rear axle placement!

Theres a diagram on my site that MIGHT help you, although it only shows the placement of the rear frame rails.

That is GREAT! Thanks, man! I still need the dimension from the front hole on the rear subframe to the front spring mount hole. If you look at the chart, you see it is 87-7/8 to the front hole. If I had the little distance from the hole to the spring mount hole, I'd be set!

Can someone measure from the hole that the 88-7/8 is measured to back to the center of the leaf spring hanger bolt hole? A friend measured it off of his car, but he got 3-3/4" and when I set it to that, the axle is too far back. It looks like 1-1/2" would be ideal.

I just measured mine and it was 1 7/8, Bryan. OOPS, I forgot to mention thats center to center.
