Can any of you guys recommend a list of front/rear springs and other associated hardware to properly lower 1st gens 2 - 3".
I know GW, Hotchkis and others sell kits, but I was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to this.

Here's some reading for front springs.

Cut a 1/4 coil if it isn't low enough after getting the springs. A little goes a long way cutting the springs. I even had to cut my Hotchkis springs to get where I wanted to go.
For the rear, you could maybe de-arch the stock springs, get different rear springs (higher rate probably for better handling and higher aversion to bottoming out), or use lowering blocks (less appealing due to increasing leverage placed on the spring = more axle hope/less traction). I don't have any info on that, though, I have ladder bars. I'm pretty sure there are threads out there on the different rear springs as well, you could just try searching a bit to see what pops up.
Good luck!
