Just finished installing my front disc brake kit. I shopped around and couldn't beat Belair Bob's price. Shipping was very fast. What was more impressive than the price was how complete the kit is. I didn't even realize there was a master cylinder bleeder kit in the bottom of the box until I had finished bench bleeding it. Virtually everything needed was in the kit. The only thing I had to buy was a bushing to connect the rear brake line to the MC, brake fluid and new dust boots for the ball joints (It's obviously my fault I tore the boots and I wouldn't have expected new ones to be in the kit).

For full disclosure I did have a couple issues. One of the bolts that connects the brake line to the caliper did not have the hole drilled through the side. I didn't realize it until I was trying to bleed the brakes and couldn't get any fluid through it.

The other would be that the instructions are pretty generic, I usually require having my hand held step by step. A couple things that come to mind if your installing this. The packing list indicates there is a proportioning valve and shows a picture. Actually the kit contains a combo valve. The instructions were kind of confusing until Bob pointed out that I had a combo valve, not a proportioning valve. Next was, once you have attached the caliper bracket and dust shield to the spindle there are tabs on the dust shield that bend out to lock the bolt in place. It doesn't mention that in the instructions and I didn't notice it until I was on the second wheel, so I had to take the first one apart to bend the tabs. Another thing that Bob responded immediately to my inquiry was the push rod that goes between the power booster and MC. The MC comes with a short piece already installed and then there are two different sized rods in a separate package. The old one I removed just had the long rod so that's the one I used after removing the short piece from the MC. Bob responded that I should have left the short piece in place and used the short rod from the package.

Again, this is a very complete kit and very easy to install. Best of all, my car stops in a straight line.

Thanks Belair Bob!

Gotta throw out kudos to Belair Bob as well. Among other items I ordered the front disc brake kit from him and had some questions on the install. I called Bob and left him a message. He called me back, answered my questions and I was good to go. Good customer service is very important in my book, and Bob ranks up at the top.
