Hey guys. Ive got a new toy. 72 camaro with manual brakes. Disc in front drums on rear. What do I need to change over to power brakes. I know I need the master cylinder and booster but do I need a proportioning valve of some type. Thanks in advance for any advice. Really like this forum. Full of great info. What about brake peddle hookup?

I converted my 70 to 4 wheel disk using the Baer brake kit. The kt came with new master, I bought a perate 11" booster. Master cylinder works with booster no problem. I did need different length push rod through. Thel hooked up the same no issues. A proporation valave is needed but you should be able to use your existing valve if you are not converting to rear disk. The booster only helps the braking force, everyhting else should stay same otherwise. If you are going through this much trouble I would upgrade to 4 wheel disk. There are alot of conversion kits out there where you can get everything without having to figure it our yourself.
