My car should be ready in about a week.

So far, I've ordered:

* Floormats from Firewheel Classics
* Black Anodized cover for the space between the front nose & radiator (thought it would look cleaner if it were filled in)
* Reprint of a 1968 Dealter Sales Brochure - thought it would be cool to keep in the car.

I saw the trim plate for the cowl hood that Twist Machine has. I might get one of those. I didn't look at the opening to see what it looks like.

What other stuff have you bought? I'm not talking about major performance upgrades. Just nice accessories that you're glad you have.

Side markers on the front & rear are already gone.
I also already have some nice aluminum upper radiator supports.

I do need to get the reverse lights put in the lower rear valence. I'll have to put a kit to do that on my wish list.

For me it's gotta be the old 8 track that still cranks out the tunes... for the good wifey, it's gotta be the GM tissue dispenser under the dash. Go figure?

I swear to you that that's exactly what a guy I know put on his further stock (and great looking!) '68! After that it was all downhill for the car. He ruined a good looking classic and sold it within a year or 2 looking like crap for not half of what he paid for it.....

I've been building my '68 for 10 years now.

The 3-point seat belt system above is a great idea for safety and comfort. I also installed '94 Camaro buckets, after recovering with '68 upholstery.

Another great idea (above) is the LED tail lights. I have those and they work nice.

Still another great upgrade is front discs. Mine had drums in front. Discs help it stop much better, especially after I took out the 350 and tossed in a 468! ;)

Nothin too fancy but here's a few ideas:

Fire Extinguisher

First Aid Kit

Setup a took kit and misc. spare parts in the trunk (xtra spark plug, elec. tape, wire, extra belts, extra battery terminal end, coat hanger - I sware you can get out of a million & one predicaments with bending a coat hanger different ways, etc, etc.)

Flashlight

Like the cub scout's motto says: "Be Prepared"
