I own a 85tpi camaro with a 305v8 all stock what is the correct spark plug gap. The haynes book says .45 the sticker on the hood says .45 but on the top of the radiator there is a sticker that says it has been changed to .35 so I am real confused. So can any one help me?

Gap isn't really a life or death issue. You can get away with .30, or some say gap them a bit more to .50. I really doubt there is a whole heck of a lot of benefit to playing around with gap, so just set it to a happy medium of .40 . That should do you just fine.

i ran .050 with an accel supercoil on my 85 TPI 305. it depends a lot on how much power you can feed the plug, .045 is factory.
