A quick question. My spindles (69 coupe disc brake) are worn where the inner race rides - perhaps .003 to .005 in groove is formed on the lower side. Replacement spindles seem cheap enough but the say these are cast. Shouldn't something like a spindle be forged? Or is cast acceptable? My car is a driver but I still don't like to skimp when it comes to suspension / brakes. Who is a good supplier of spindles as far as Team Camaro is concerned??

Thanks - John

You can buy re-pop FORGED stock type spindles from several places!

.003" to .005" on a partial "side", I wouldn't even worry about it, BUT I would use a bit of lock-tite to carefully bed/seat the inner races tho.

Take a center punch and lightly divot them in several places where they are low and see how they fit? Should be better yet! Might have to dress the divots down a bit using crocus cloth??
