I have a '69 Z28 and would like to have a good supply of parts catalogs. I currently have Ground Up, D and R, The Paddock, Classic Industries, and Classic Muscle. Does anyone have suggestions for other catalogs that would be good to have on hand? Someone told us that no matter where you order parts from they all come from the same manufacturers. Is this true? Does it really matter where you order from except for price and availability?
The reason I am asking is that I need to get some new chrome. I purchased some this fall from one of the above-listed suppliers and wasn't pleased with the quality. I'm still looking for good chrome. Any suggestions? Or does it matter...will it all be the same?

If there is one within driving distance from you, then that is the best choice when it comes to large items, because you can then save on shipping. I use FirstGen, because I can drive there in a couple of hours, plus halfway there it takes me past a friends house that I enjoy visiting.

If you are looking for nos stainless moldings,I would keep a eye on the parts for sale on this web site as well as e-bay,I am also finishing up a 69 camaro ss and D&R camaro has 3 of the 4 wheel well moldings at reasonable price, only they don't have passenger side rear,I found some full sets from other private party's and they are pricey, around $100.00 ea.and you don't want the repops{Convex},they don't fit, especially the front ones,as for the rest of the trim I would either send out the old to be repaired or repair myself and buff,it's not that tuff to repair!
