what am I looking for to make sure a car doesn't sound like I'm at the Indy 500 when I start it? Exhaust manifolds not headers? original exhaust? I want it to sound like a regular, but kicking 350 engine.

Ghostbuster Apr 1st, 08, 08:46 AM stock cam, stock exhaust okiemark Apr 1st, 08, 08:51 AM stock cam, stock exhaust.... got it! Rodder Apr 1st, 08, 10:29 AM Headers, 2 1/2" pipe, crossover, and a pair of Dynomax SuperTurbos, and tailpipes that exit behind the rear wheels should be reasonable noise level without much performance penalty. Mostly mufflers more than anything... On the other hand, a stock 350 with cast iron manifolds and two-chamber 40-series Flowmasters will rattle your teeth. |
