Hey guys,
I'm a Chevelle guy and a 3 year member over @ Team Chevelle ... but without a doubt my next car will be a Gen II Camaro.
Actually the first car I ever bought myself was a 70 Camaro Yellow with black Vinyl, buckets with console and horseshoe shifter.
I loved that car, I was 18 and the rust had already got it when I bought it.:(
Anyway... my brother -inlaw just recently purchased a 72 RS Z28, 4 speed, he's trying to confirm the correct air cleaner & hp decal, he believes the aircleaner is correct, but not the decal.
I'm convincing him to join this site ... as I've told him how much help Team Chevelle has been with my Chevelles.
Anyway here's a pic and all help is greatly appreciated.

thanks
Seb

Heres some pics of the car... I like it , It's a #'s matching car, 4 speed M22 that he's looking to make correct under the hood except the headers, I've already pointed out the painted brake booster, but anything else you guys notice... please chime in.

thanks again
Seb

That air cleaner looks the same as our 70 Z/28, so should also be what a 72 came with.
If it's a Norwood built car, the trim tag will say Z/28 on it.
I see the Z/28 alt pulley, intake, valve covers, heat shield under the carb all look correct.
Our 70 booster is not painted. BTW most repro boosters are way too much gold a color. OEM boosters were silver with a tinge of gold to them.

Thanks David,
We thought it was the correct air cleaner itself and the HP sticker is probably correct for the 70, but the hp rating dropped for the 72.
The trim tag does have the Z28 and the booster shows signs of the original finish under the paint ... he's going to try to clean it up.

If anyone can help out on the correct decal for the air cleaner on a 72 that would be great.

thanks again

The air cleaner is correct for a 72 Z28.
Decal should read 350 / 255HP.

Here's a great 2nd gen Camaro site:

http://www.nastyz28.com/

I agree with LT1FUN about the aircleaner and decal being correct.
I believe Classic Industries and others have the correct decals.

(I owned a '73 Type LT Z/28 for 25 years. Awesome car even though rated at only 245 H.P.)

Thanks... he's on there regularly and either the info's not there or he just isn't looking in the right places.... me using Team Chevelle all the time ... figured I'd help him out.
Next we have to check on his steering wheel.
