Hello, I am trying to get the best set up for my 69 convert. Right now there are 8inch on the back and 7s on the front. I would like to get the same all around so that i can rotate the tires. What started all of this is that i am trying to get disc brakes on the front. Right now i have 14s and from what i have read, i won't be able to fit the discs on the 14s.

Can anyone make a recommendation ? Its important to me that the car looks original so i would like to stay away from 16s+. There have been plenty of posts and i have tried to read through as many as i can but getting the same sized tires and wheels all around doesn't seem to be that popular of an idea ( at least with bigger wheels ). I am willing to cut the sidewall size down a little, but hopefully not so much that you would notice by looking.

Thanks for you help
Brian

Might be cheaper to just balance the tires more often?

what disc's? The factory dis 14" wheels and disc's. If you really want the same size front and rear run 15x7's 4-4.5" bs and 235/60/15's. You'll get stock style disc's behind them without issue.

jim ,

i guess you are right, all i am really after is to get discs on the front. And to do that i thought i needed 15s. i should concentrate my efforts on finding a disc break kit that can fit my front 14s.
