It's been on ebay a few times with no buyers. Here's the original description by the seller (dansworx) on 08-27-07:

This car was found in a storage area under an old commercial building.
My wife was going into business and rented out a space in a very rural area. She needed to have water and a sink installed in her space. I hired a friend in the remodeling industry and we started the installation of the piping and water heater. Turning the water off for the entire complex was a real challenge. The landlord gave me the keys to the storage area underneath the building; she didn't even know where the shut off valve was located. The hunt was on, there was a ton of stuff stored down in this area for decades. As I weaved my way through the old appliances, rolls of carpet, furniture, and old engines I came upon a car with a cover on.
I remember thinking to myself, What's this?
Keep in mind the lighting was poor anyway and the gray winter day didn’t help. I picked up the car cover and saw the fender emblem, which read SS. There it was red with red interior sitting on the ground with four flat red line tires.
On returning the keys to the landlord, I asked whom the car belonged to. She said, You mean that old Chevy? I answered yes that old Chevy. She told me the story. The owner left the area about 15 to 20 years ago to work on the pipeline in Alaska and would pay her storage until he settled in and by the way that reminded her he was late on that.
I did manage to get his number and started calling, I was unsuccessful for weeks to get through. Finally, I was able to reach him. I explained how I found the car and asked his plans. I told him the car was in great shape but it was difficult to see through the dust and the dim lighting. He asked me if I would be interested in buying the car. I said, YES, but what amount are we talking about? He explained he couldn’t have the car where he lived in Alaska all gravel roads out there. He said, he would think about it he was leaving for the Holidays and when he returned he would get back to me with his price. After about a dozen days, I got back in touch with him and we agreed that I would pay off the storage bill and on the amount for the car. The Camaro Was Mine!

This 1968 Camaro was originally purchased from a Dealership in Wisconsin by a retired gentleman.
He then moved to Las Angeles where he became ill and the car just sat. A neighbor noticed the car sitting in the garage for years. A friend had come for a visit and happened to see the car as well, and was able to purchase the car. Shortly after that he relocated to Oregon and brought the car as well. He was in Oregon temporarily working while waiting for his ultimate job to work on the pipeline in Alaska.

Then the car was again placed on auction on 10-11-07 by cjwyatto (the same person as dansworx), with this description:

This car was found in a storage area under an old commercial building that we were in the process of remodeling for my wife's new business venture. During the installation of the plumbing and water heater the landlord gave me the keys to the storage area underneath. There was a ton of stuff where the shut off valve was located. As I weaved my way through the stuff that had been there for decades I came upon a car with a cover on it. The lighting in this cramped area was poor but as picked up the car cover I saw the fender emblem which read "SS". There it was in the midst of all this clutter: a red SS camaro with red interior sitting there with flat redline tires! When I returned the keys to the landlord I asked her who the car belonged to and she replied "Oh, you mean that old Chevy?" and then she told me the story of how it came to be in its present location. The current owner had left the area about 15-20 years ago to work on the Alaska pipeline and was paying her for the storage for the car until he could get settled in (she also mentioned that he was behind on the storage agreement). She gave me his phone number and after several weeks I was successful in locating him. He told me that the car had originally been purchased new from a dealership in Wisconsin by a retired gentleman who was his neighbor in Los Angeles, CA. After his neighbor became ill and was unable to drive the car it sat in the garage for several years, so he purchased the car from him. I told him that the car was in great shape but it was difficult to look any farther due to the years of dust build up and dim lighting. I asked what his plans were for the car and he told me that where he lived in Alaska there was gravel roads and he asked me if I would be interested in purchasing the car. Of course I said "YES!" and asked him how much he wanted for the car, and he said he was leaving for the holidays and would get back to me. A week and half later we got in touch and he offered me the car for a price and I also agreed to pay the remaining balance on the storage bill to the landlord. The beautiful red camaro was MINE!!!

I have never seen an unrestored car with a black hood latch support, the tail pan paint also does not extend to the trunk seal, has anyone ever seen that?

There are several "inconsistancies" on this car that raise questions. (I'll just leave it at that.)

by the way, the Warranty booklet shown in the picture isn't from that car. It's from a 1968 6 cylinder Chevelle 2 door coupe.
