You want aqua and black "spatter" paint.

Actually, it's aqua and gray; my original 02D Norwood '69 below.

John,
I thought the gray was for earlier sixties like 63-64. Yours however looks darker gray. Is there two shades? Is the aqua and black the "accepted" color? I don't want to mislead someone, sorry if I did.

All I can say is that's the way the car was painted originally; not sure about '67 and '68, as I don't follow them that closely.

Earlier cars used a light gray, 69 is the dark grey as in John's picture.

Hello everyone,
quick follow up question; My 68 has the same grey/aqua paint as John's. Anyone know a good source for it? Eastman only seems to carry grey/white, black/aqua, and black/gray

Yeah, I could use some. I'm not happy with a touch-up I did over thirty years ago. See what I mean?

Heres an older post that covers trunk paint. Also GM still sells the Spatter Paint in the spray can if you can get your dealership to bring it in. It took me a while to get some here in Hawaii but for touch up here and there i am happy.

see if the Chevy counter can order you the same GM stuff that NPD has in their catalog. I want to say the 1149 is the black/aqua and the 1148 is the grey/white. Double check with them though.

the black/ aqua is correct, dont use the stuff in the spray cans they are way off. John Berlage 815 747 2731 sells the correct splatter that you spray with a gun

GM sells a rattle can aqua and black that depending on what you use as a base will give you lighter or darker results...

My trunk was a grey primer and the cocktail shakers were black, you can see the difference... It not actually as blue as the pic show, I think the florcent lights provided the effect...
